I am not kidding, I got a present. My day has 1.5 hours more since over 8 months and it was hard at first. What to do with all the extra time?
I smoked one pack a day for 35 years. I never smoked in the house, so I always had to walk outside to get my cigarette fix. Summer or winter, in ice and snow or heat…you could see me standing outside holding on to my cigarette.
20 cigarettes a pack x 5 minutes of smoke time =
100 minutes (a little bit more than 1.5 hours)
Every day I wasted 1.5 hours of my time on smoking, that’s hard to believe isn’t it?
When I quit smoking I got my time back. Holly Molly…talk about adjustment issues. All of a sudden there was time left and it was just for me…go figure.
I love it, and declared the 1.5 hours as “me time”. I sit down with a good cup of coffee and write posts for my blog or read my friends blogs. Whatever I do…the time is not wasted anymore!
So, in my case it’s not just fiction, it’s reality…time has been added to my day and I had the power to do it 🙂
Daily prompt Good news — another hour has just been added to every 24-hour day (don’t ask us how. We have powers). How do you use those extra sixty minutes?
Well done! You deserve many congratulations, such a wonderful feat! 🙂

I never thought about the time I saved until reading your post. I gave up 5 years ago, about 15 a day, so we’d be about the same time saved… which is cool!

It is, isn’t it? I didn’t realize it right from the start, I was just always wondering why the day seemed to have more hours all of a sudden 🙂 Thank you for stopping by
