“The clock of life is wound but once,
and no man has the power,
to tell just when the hands will stop,
at late or early hour.
Now is the only time you own.
Live, love, toil with a will.
Place no faith in time,
For the clock may soon be still.”
We can’t slow time or actions down and we can’t speed them up. It is what it is no man has the power
My Sister-in-Law could finally pass on and as our hearts are filled with sadness, at this point we are although relieved that her long fight is finally over. Gone too soon…Lung cancer hit home…sometimes it’s personal.
R.I.P.
Today’s daily prompt If you could slow down an action that usually zooms by, or speed up an event that normally drags on, which would you choose, and why?
So sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family. No death is easy, but death by lung cancer is really terrible. I hope you do not feel badly about feeling relieved. It is natural and she is no longer suffering as you said. People forget though that the departed’s love ones also suffered with them and now they can be at peace as well.

I am so sorry. It’s hard in situations like this when you feel the relief of someone being freed from pain but the grief of the loss is still so very strong and real. Wishing you strength and comfort in the days ahead.

Sorry about your sister-in-law. I have 3 nieces (two are sisters) who just both lost their fathers within two days of each other. Family deaths are hard for everyone.
