Now that’s a Daily prompt that I haven’t seen before and I can’t resist to answer.
Less is more, that would be my advice, it I would have to nail it down to one advice only.Don’t write or post for numbers, write for you own fun and don’t overdue it. Some bloggers think they have to post every day, some of them even 3-5 times a day, that’s only necessary if you blog for numbers. Don’t feel the pressure to do that. The readers and followers will come over time and posting here on the Daily prompt is a good way to start.
Post every day, if you want to. Take a break if you need one, because let’s be honest, there is a life away from your computer. Make your own rules. It has to feel good, don’t let it become a routine, because that would make it a chore and that takes the fun out of everything.
Less is more. Quality over quantity. Write and post when you feel like it, not because you feel you need to. This is your blog; your blog…your rules. Enjoy your blog, play with it and have fun with your new blogging friends. It’s a great community, don’t be scared. Dive right in.
Nice to meet you new bloggers. Welcome~!
Key Takeaway
Give your newer sisters and brothers-in-WordPress one piece of advice based on your experiences blogging.
If you’re a new blogger, what’s one question you’d like to ask other bloggers?
I agree and have a long list of things I want “less” of lol. 😉

Very good advise. Blogging should be an enjoyable, creative outlet. When it becomes a chore it is time to re-evaluate why you have a blog and how you want to spend your time and your creativity.

You are spot on. I will stop blogging if it will ever become an “a have to.”

In blogging one has to persevere and not give up. Above all, it has to be enjoyable.

I feel the pressure not to miss a day, but find it so hard to now that I am working full time. Your posts always seem just the right length.

Don’t comment on other’s posts to make others come to you. I have seen people do this on youtube and wordpress. It is quite a sad

It doesn’t sound right. I do however comment each and every time I read something that I like, regardless if I know the blogger or not. Gosh I even say something when they make me barf 🙂

I comment on your posts because I enjoy them. However if I don’t agree with someone I don’t stick around and comment. Though I don’t comment on all of your posts I enjoy them all.

Quality and consistency. I’ve experimented all different ways, but it turns out, people like seeing what they “tuned in for” in the first place. If you keep changing you style, no one hangs around long. And DEFINITELY ABSOLUTELY NO QUESTION, less IS more! Especially in word count!

One of my favorite Mark Twain quotes: “I didn’t have time for a short letter, so I wrote a long one instead.”
I guess it depends how you look at it. I like long posts, if they are NEW and worth reading. It depends on the subject mostly.
You and I post for different reasons, so I don’t think we can give each other advice to begin with.
I followed many new bloggers and many of them quit, because they felt overwhelmed. Younger people have a family and kids to take care of, they have a job…blogging can be overwhelming if you feel you have to.
