Share your world! Week 8

dirty-dishes

What household chore do you absolutely hate doing?

I hate doing the dishes, because we don’t have a dish washer. Miss Smartiepants here decided a few years back, that we didn’t need one (what was I thinking???). I love our kitchen, but it’s rather small and I decided that I didn’t want to lose cabinet space.

Once when we were out with friends, the subject “dishes” came up and we started to talk about dishwashers. My husband joked that we didn’t need one, because we have a “Bridget deluxe.” He survived the evening, ย but was grounded and had dish duty for a few days. ๐Ÿ™‚

What was the last URL that you bookmarked?

Oh my do you want me to confess that I watch porn (just kidding). The last page I bookmarked was https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZnAcIUfwG0Y.

Close your eyes. Listen to your body. What part of your body is seeking attention? What is it telling you?

My tummy needs some serious attention; I haven’t eaten anything today. It’s telling me it’s hungry.

Would you rather have a two-bedroom apartment in a big city of your choosing or a mansion in the country side in the state or country where you currently live?

Bye, bye Ohio.

The city of my choosing, well then I would love to have a two-bedroom apartment in Rome please, preferable on the highest floor with a great view, but only if the building has an elevator, because we aren’t spring chickens anymore.

Thank you Cee, that was fun as always.

  1. I am quite well organised at home, with a Mr. Swiss assistant to help. Over the last couple of weeks, due to an accident, I was not able to do my normal thing, just a bit diluted. Now I am gradually back in action and realise how much I need those chores. Perhaps it is now the Swiss influence, as England was just a dust down, but I need my household work. I feel something is missing if it is not done. I have a routine and find doing it regularly saves time and intensive work. Yes I have a dishwasher, but spent the first 40 years of my life without one and had a family of six, so I treasure it now, although it is only three of us. Oh dear, I think I am now perhaps just a little too Swiss.

    • I restore and reupholster furniture for a living, ever since I retired from my career. I am having a ball. I was interested how to make your own chalkpaint and it turned out great. Why didn’t I train my husband to do the dishes sighhhhh?

    • Mine rushes through them too, so I re-wash a few ๐Ÿ™‚

I happen to not mind dishes. (Guess the running water is soothing.) BUT: happiness is cooking on an empty dishwasher. Makes cleaning as I go that much easier! ๐Ÿ˜‰
