She doesn’t get around anymore as she used to; now she depends on strangers who help her with her daily needs.

Most of them are after her money.

“Nothing here has any value,” she heard one say, and it makes her sad.

This piece is so special to her. It shows the milestones of her life, little souvenirs of all the places she had seen, displayed on an old shelf.

Only the one, who would be able to see its real value, would inherit everything that was hidden in the old wall safe behind it.

 

She leaned back and smiled.
