Taxi – Friday Fictioneers

“Please, tell us what you saw that night.”

“It was around 9 o’clock in the evening; taxis were parked everywhere around the bridge. The drivers waited for each other and then they walked down the stairs together.”

“What happened then?”

“They started beating him, all of them; they beat him over and over.”

That must have been awful to witness. Can you tell me who started it?”

-Silence

“Sir, please answer the question and may I remind you that you are under oath.”

-Silence

“Sir, please answer the question.”

The victim started it; he had robbed a taxi driver that night.”
