I am woman – A Song a Day (1)

Diane, over at “Ladies who Lunch reviews, etc.” had the nerve to tag me for the A-Song-A-Day-Challenge. My husband laughed out loud when I told him about it. “You are going to lose a few followers,” he said, and I just nodded. My friends always joke that I should never lose my iPod, “People would think you are crazy,” they say, and I fear they might be right.

The rules for this challenge are simple. You post some of your favorite song lyrics for five days in a row, preferably with a video -if available. Then, you think about two bloggers who have pissed you off lately, and nominate them to participate as well. Just kidding! The chosen ones then have the choice and can take part -if they wish- or crush my little heart.

I nominate: My life lived full and A day in the Life, because I hope to meet them both in real life and I can’t wait to see what we wold be listening to, while enjoying a glass of wine -or two or three.

About the song:

The first song is not just one of my favorites -but also from my “normal” music stack. It’s a song for all women. It was written and performed back at a time when women wanted to be liberated. Somehow I feel it’s now more important than ever before. Here in the U.S. women are on the streets again, fighting for the right to be equal, fighting to be heard.
