If I wouldn’t watch this on a computer I would think somehow I flew back in time and I got thrown into the 50’s.
I want to thank John Oliver and the makers of “Last Week Tonight” for making this available to the public, right after it has been shown on TV. Great research, brilliant journalism, sprinkled with a bit of humor -and all of it for free for those of us who are interested in the truth and facts.

I love his show. So informative. It’s amazing that we have to rely on comedy shows for the real facts and in-depth journalism.

A real sad fact about our journalism don’t you think?

Yes. With 24/7 news you would think the major networks could do some in-depth reporting like the comedy shows do in half an hour.

John Oliver is brilliant! He is my favorite comedian/political commentator. I found this report about the coal industry illuminating.

I watched this on my cell phone on this morning. John Oliver is brilliant, and funny. The only thing that I worry about is retraining of displaced coal miners. Some will migrate elsewhere (see Hillbilly Elegy) but there is no guarantee they will be retrained for better jobs. Sad, but true. Coal will not, cannot come back.
