Are all Bloggers Narcissists?

It’s not the connection, blogging draws us back because we feel the need to share. We want to show our photos, write our stories. We need the audience. No more quiet diaries or forgotten photo albums, now we share with whoever is willing to read and look. Blogging pets our narcissistic soul. 🙂

That was actually a comment I made, and my blogging friend called me ‘cynical,’ which I took as a compliment because I like being cynical. To me, it means I still have some critical thinking left, sadly I spit it out without any warning -mostly when not expected. Continue reading

Things you cannot blog about! But why?

Most and foremost, don’t ever write about religion, because good lord almighty you might rattle the boat. It’s almost as bad as writing about politics! Which is -if you live in the United (divided) States of America, perhaps the biggest blogging offense you can commit. Continue reading

I am a bad, bad blogger (?)

bad-blogger

Something interesting happened yesterday to me in the blogging world, something, that might explain while I don’t see some bloggers anymore. I made a mistake yesterday and I have to say, I feel a little embarrassed. Embarrassed, because I didn’t follow the #1 blogging rule. I did not just not follow it, no, I bend it…broke it. I am a bad, bad blogger (I think that’s what I am suppose to say now.)

Today one year ago

Perfect timing daily prompt, perfect timing. I stepped out of my comfort zone exactly one year ago on May 2nd, 2014. It was the day before my 3-month-quit-smoking-celebration and I was reading through all the posts I had written, tried to come up with a filing system -something like a diary and somehow it didn’t work very well.  Continue reading

It was hard for me to do it. I’m compulsive about reading and commenting, or at the least “Liking” the blogs I follow. It went against the grain to delete so many notifications.

I tried to catch up with myself, but kept falling farther behind until I had no choice. Unless I’m going to spend all day everyday in front of the computer, I can’t handle the traffic.

72-Computer-in-use_01It got me thinking about why I comment on some blogs and not others. Following are the top ten reasons I don’t…

New Blogging Rules…

blogging 2

6 months ago I started blogging. I wasn’t really sure what it meant, but decided to do it anyway. I watched the movie “Julie and Julia” and if she could do it, so could I…it couldn’t be that complicated. I had the idea, or the vision, to write about my quitting journey. I wanted to share my experience with others and thought “maybe I can reach just one smoker”. I didn’t really know how, but that was the idea behind it and the reason why I started blogging.
