My Lungs – My Health -My Choice

“I would recommend you stop taking the chemo drug until you feel better,” the nurse told me on the phone and I wasn’t sure what to make of it. I had gotten sick right before Christmas. Nothing dramatic, but concerning enough to call my doctor, who told me to consult with my Rheumatologist, who wasn’t available at first, so I ended up talking to her nurse.

Scar or Wound?

How we look at our scars is entirely up to us. We get hurt, and when we heal, what’s left is a mark -inside or outside. As many of you know, my husband had open-heart surgery just two years ago. Whenever I look at his naked chest I shudder and wish somehow I could have prevented it, but it only lasts for a few seconds, then I am grateful. He looks at his scar with joy. He was spared a heart attack and considers himself the luckiest man alive.

You Are Not Welcome, Baby!

Every child born should be wanted, loved, and cherished by it’s parents. That’s what I wish for. Sadly, it’s not always the case. I was an unwanted child myself. My mother made sure I knew how much she didn’t want me, she repeated it over and over. Once, when I was five or six years old, she told me she threw herself in front of my father’s car when she was very pregnant with me. I suppose it was in the driveway when he was driving slow, while she didn’t have a problem hurting me, she surely wouldn’t have risked harming herself.

Here we go again! Without having a choice, you force me now to accept unwillingly the new Gutenberg WordPress editor and while I try to be as open-minded as I possibly can be, I find myself not liking it right from the start – just because of the way you stuffed it rudely down my throat.

Because I said so!

Imagine everybody would be an organ donor right from the start, with birth. Of course, people could still opt-out at any time. Just a short trip to city hall and you would be registered as a none-organ donor. Also, of course, family members would have the right to revoke your consent, or should I say BIRTHRIGHT, after a loved one died.
