Stay home, they say and I do.
Don’t stress out, they say and I try.
We are in it together, they say
and I know they are lying.
We are not equal, never will be.
Money rules, the rich are privileged.
I am not, and march to my own drum
and dance to music, only I can hear.
Celebrities get tested and but I am not.
My life is not worth that much
but that’s where they are wrong.
It’s actually priceless.

Here it is very odd that the wealthy county bordering my county to the north has the second largest number of confirmed cases in our state, and my county has none? Our main pediatrician’s office had a big sign on their door that they weren’t testing!

So much doesn’t make sense. No testing available for the average American here, so far only celebrities got tested.

I moved from Williamson County, the richest county in the state, to a more friendly and down to earth part of TN near the Smokies, and thought it was poetic justice/irony that my former snobbish place of residence was where the virus first appeared in TN. Sorry, but I just couldn’t help myself1

Bless you! I am in Columbia, on the southernmost point….farthest from the Williamson County line. It is still pretty down to earth here thank goodness (at least for now). Watching how Williamson County people dealt with this has been gut wrenching. One of my kids has mental health appointments weekly in Williamson County- they refused to do telehealth for the last 3 weeks! They are finally embracing it- I thought they would be more progressive than where I live… not the case!
I actually moved here about 25 years ago from Florida. I don’t miss the heat, but I do miss being near the beach❤️

You ARE priceless. I have to remark however, that that bargain basement bozo in the White House had the audacity yesterday, when asked why celebrities and sports stars are being tested and the most vulnerable are not, to say this is the way its always been and the rich will always come first as though that is acceptable. Angry? About to start a fire? Watch this space!!!!
