Loved this! I know I was lucky to really not have many of the physical symptoms. I was in the middle of moving my family across the country at the time and used that as excuse for my irritability instead.
We are very bad at discussing our bodies, which is silly really. We all share the same bits and pieces as approximately 50% of the population, and we all have similar issues during our life.
We don’t talk enough about it. It’s one of the things that we go into fully unprepared. I wish every woman would actually know more about it, perhaps learn from her mom and grandma right from the start.
It does have a comical side.
Humour helps in most aspects of life. Unfortunately it can sometimes hide real hurt and mental strife and can lead, in extreme cases, to self harm and suicide.

That’s a terrible thought. Not being able to talk about ‘it’ or drifting into depression, which could be so easily helped. Good points, Peter!
